จากความสำคัญของย่านสาทรซึ่งเป็นทางผ่านการค้าขายตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน ทำให้สาทรได้สั่งสมเอาวัฒนธรรมของต่างชาติผสมรวมเข้ากับวัฒนธรรมสยามมายาวนาน ซึ่งในการค้าขายแลกเปลี่ยนสิ่งของจำเป็นต้องมีสื่อกลางในการแลกเปลี่ยน และสิ่งนั้นจะต้องเป็นสิ่งที่มีค่า นั่นก็คือ “เงินตรา” ซึ่งจะมีความแตกต่างกันไปตามชนิดและสมัยที่ใช้เงินนั้น สิ่งที่ใช้แทนเงินแต่ละชนิดจะสามารถบอกเล่าเรื่องราวการค้าของกรุงเทพมหานครในแต่ละยุคแต่ละสมัยได้ ดังนั้น ผลงานชิ้นนี้จึงได้ดึงความสำคัญที่กล่าวมานี้ มาเป็นแนวคิดในการออกแบบภายในโรงแรม เดอะพีเชียส สาทร ให้บอกเล่าเรื่องราวต่าง ๆ ผ่านงานตกแต่งและงานบริการ เพื่อให้เกิดงานออกแบบที่ให้ผู้ใช้พื้นที่ได้ “ซึมซับ” ศิลปวัฒนธรรมสมัยรัตนโกสินทร์ จนเกิดความประทับใจและสืบทอดต่อไป

INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT FOR THE PRECIOUS HOTEL SATHORN
From the importance of Sathorn Area which is the high trading and exchange area from the past till present. The Sathorn Area collected the culture of foreign countries and combined with Siam culture through long period. So now we can see the combine of cultures in Sathorn. In the process of trading and exchange between each other is media for exchange that media which is the valuable item that is “Money”. In each era had different kind of money and the things that people use instead of money. So it can tell us the story of trading in variety of Bangkok Metropolitan era. Therefore, this project had mobilized all the importance as mentioned before to create ideas for interior design inside the Hotel The Precious Sathorn to tell stories through decoration works and services. So I can create the design for all the person who come to the hotel and use services areas. They will consume and can touch Rattanakosin arts and cultures’ with impressive satisfaction for long time.
